We’re really excited (ok, and a little nervous!) as it’s only ONE WEEK until BlueLightCamp 2014.

So far, around a hundred people have registered to attend either one, or both, days over the weekend 10-11th May. A quick skim through the list on Eventbrite shows a mixture of people from:01 #ukBlc14 Poster_print_quality (1)

  • Police
  • Fire Service
  • Mountain Rescue
  • Software / Application experts
  • Government agencies
  • Academia
  • Charities
  • Interest / Campaign groups
  • Journalists / Hyperlocal news
  • Councils
  • Comms professionals
  • Freelancers
  • Pilots (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)

There are quite a few who prefer not to be identified with an organisation, and are attending just as themselves which is, of course, absolutely fine.

As far as I can see, the Mancunians are in the lead so far as those prepared to travel the furthest to attend a fab event.

There are still a few tickets left for both days, so if you’ve not signed up yet and fancy joining a really interesting group of people talking about / doing stuff to improve public and emergency services, then sign up here.
