Public Service Launchpad

The Public Service Launchpad is a programme to supercharge solutions to social problems. The Launchpad will help turn early stage ideas into successful projects and maybe even businesses that can change lives, by giving innovators access to the support they need to get their ideas off the ground.

FutureGov is working with Hub Launchpad to deliver the Public Service Launchpad. Based at Hub Westminster in London, the Public Service Launchpad runs for 7 months between September 2013 and April 2014.

The programme is for two types of people: ‘intrapreneurs’ already working in the public sector who have or want to develop ideas to make change happen; and people who don’t work in the public sector but who understand social problems and have ideas to fix them.

You could be working for a council, the health service, the police, or a charity or voluntary group; or you could be flying solo as a consultant, entrepreneur or innovator with great energy and enthusiasm. You could work in the private sector and want to do something social for your company or on the side – whatever your background, if you see a social problem and you think you can fix it, then the Public Service Launchpad is for you.

Through the programme will help you make your ideas happen, whether it’s by starting up a new social business, or helping create a change initiative inside a public service organisation, we’ll support you every step of the way.
